FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Click the question in which you are interested. Please read the terms of sale below very carefully. They are the governing rules for your purchase from me, and are also an essential source of information about shipping your game. Shipping time I ship almost all antiques, parts, manuals and flyers within 5 days of payment receipt, generally within a day or so. I use Priority Mail, UPS, Parcel Post or First Class mail depending on the item. If you do not elect to purchase insurance I am not responsible in any way for loss or damage in the mail. Games are palleted and shipped as soon as possible after payment is received and cleared, but generally no longer than 14 days after payment. The usual shipping delay for games is 5 to 8 days depending on my work schedule and how quickly my trucker gets them picked up to take them to Forward Air. Games paid for by personal or business check will definitely be held for 10 to 15 days before being shipped. Back to top of page Manuals, locks, keys, coin mechanisms Because the vast majority of our customers are home users we do not include coin mechanisms in the base bid price of our games. They may be added to almost any game for $15 per pair. Any game may be played for free by manually triggering the coin switch, which is included with every game and is conveniently available on the rear of the coin door. Locks are included and installed for all front doors. The back door is generally held in place with wood screws. Manuals are not included with the games. Back to top of page WARRANTY POLICY ON ARCADE GAME AND PIN BALL PARTS Unless specifically mentioned in the auction description or on the web page, all parts and boards are sold as is with no warranty express or implied. Back to top of page WARRANTY POLICY ON VIDEO ARCADE GAMES AND PINBALL MACHINES I would like to be able to warranty the games, but it just isn't practical. Because of the age of these games (some of the classics were made in 1980/81/82), and the distances that they have to travel in many cases, I am forced to sell them as is. When the games are prepared for shipment, they generally run for at least 24 hours straight; this turns up minor glitches and problems that are then corrected. The buttons and joysticks are checked to be sure that they function properly. Please note that "proper function" does not mean "like new" - just that the game can be readily played. It is possible that when your game arrives it will not work properly. I would like you to email me immediately in that case, and I will make every effort to walk you through the problem. In the case of minor parts such as buttons and joystick switches, I will generally mail you a replacement part as a courtesy. This courtesy should not be construed as an indication of warranty express or implied. Please feel free to contact anyone in my Feedback profile on eBay to discuss what condition their game was in on arrival. The vast majority of games arrive ready to plug in and play. Summary: All games are sold as is without any warranty express or implied. WARRANTY ON DESCRIPTIONS OF CONDITION Descriptions in the auction are basically accurate in all material respects; however there may be minor cosmetic flaws overlooked, such as scratches, nicks or small gouges, etc. Please feel free to ask for further pictures of any item. In keeping with general standards in on-line sales, there will be NO refunds, credits or price adjustments. Back to top of page SHIPPING - HOW AND WHERE, HOW MUCH? We generally ship games via Forward Air, which is a nationwide trucking company. They will bring your game to their terminal nearest you, and you will be able to pick it up from them at that terminal. To locate the nearest terminal, call 1 800 726 6654 or you can check their map at http://forwardair.com/locations/falocations.htm. The shipping on the average Ms Pac Man size game runs up to around $185 for the West coast, and as low as $65 for some terminals within NY State. Pinball machines, due to their delicate nature, will be shipped in a crate on a pallet and the shipping charge is a flat $265 for any point in the US; that price includes the crating fee. I will be glad to give you a shipping quote before you bid; just email me at artgames@nycap.rr.com (click my address for a quick mail form). Please include the 3 letter code for the terminal you wish to use; the code is available on the location map or by calling Forward Air at the number above. Back to top of page INSURING YOUR GAME IN TRANSIT Insurance, damage, loss, etc - - FA will not insure an uncrated game. I am not responsible for loss, damage, operational failure due to transit, or any other shipping related issue. In order to insure a game in transit, Forward Air requires that the game be packed and then fully surrounded with a wooden crate. We provide this service for an additional $95 charge, over and above the $40 packing and palleting fee. This includes building the crate around the packaged game with a 2x3 or equivalent framework, and using 1/4 inch thick or greater plywood or aspenite for the sides and top. We also secure the game inside the crate to prevent its rocking from side to side and damaging itself and the crate. This is the most secure method of shipping and prevents almost all potential damage to the game. The cost of insurance is negligible, only 65 cents per $100 of value, and is a very cost effective addition to your total shipping bill. You should definitely call Forward Air at 1-800-726-6654 to learn exactly what is and is not covered by their insurance on shipments. Back to top of page
